Almost time for New Year's. Wonder what everyone's resolution will be this year? Last year I actually stuck to my resolution and quit smoking after 35 years. I have easy days and hard days. Today for some reason is a hard day. After all this time I want a cigarette in the worst way. This will pass.
My resolution for next year.....hmmmm....Oh I know. How about the proverbial loosing weight? I have truly gained ALOT this year. I really would like to weigh what I did before I quit smoking then I can decide how much to loose. This may end up being two years resolutions!
I am working on my first pair of knitted socks and will post a picture as I get farther along with them. I belong to a few knitting groups on Yahoo. They are fun plus I learn alot from the other members.
Everyone have a great and SAFE New Year's.

Christmas Eve. The younger grandkids were asking to track Santa on Norad. So the oldest granddaughter got on line and showed them where Santa was. According to Norad, Santa was flying over Peru approximately 20 minutes ago and headed for the US. She was great with the little ones. She told how Santa would be here any time and if any one of them was still awake, no one in the house would get their presents. I could not believe how fast feet flew up the stairs with cries of "Good night" echoing in the background. Amazing! It's pretty quiet, too!
Well, here's to wishing everyone a joyous holiday season.

Alrighty then. This blogging thing is new for me but my granddaughter said I MUST get into the 21st century, after all, all the cool grandmother's were doing it. Guess I can't let her down now can I?
Here I go, one step at a time and I am sure I will fall on my face a time or two until I get this thing conquered. Conquer I will though.
I think this blog should be mostly about the grandkids as they are a big part of my life. I have 7.25 you know. The eighth is due in June. The third youngest and her mother are due in for Christmas tomorrow. We will be traveling 250 miles to the airport to pick them up. Papa has been having Emmie withdrawals and is already getting anxious for the trip. Normally you couldn't get him anywhere near the city. It will seem like a long trip down, I am sure. The two of them will no doubt be joined at the hip the entire time they are here. I will be taking lots of pictures of that.
Well, that's about it for the first time. It will be amazing to see how this progresses as I get more comfortable with blogging. Any tips or tricks anyone would like to pass on would be appreciated.
Good night all. Stay safe.
