I don't know if you can see this, but there is the tiniest humming bird on our Butterfly Bush. I got as close as I could and used the telephoto lens to capture this little dynamo.

We have three regular humming birds that come to the feeders and chase the others off. They fight amongst themselves trying to keep the feeder to themselves all the while a stranger darts in a feeds. We have a good time watching them!

We had on little guy that came here for years. He was almost tame. He got caught up in the rafters of our garage and DH climbed up there to rescue him. Every year after that he came back. He would fly up to the service door in the garage and hoover there for a bit as if waiting for DH to come out or he would hoover in front of our faces if we were outside then off he'd go. He didn't show up this year and DH is grieving the lose of a friend.

The season is almost over here in Northern Michigan. These little guys are getting ready to head South. They are in a feeding frenzy. Even with all the flowers in the yard, we have to fill the feeder numerous times a day. It will be sad to see them go as that will mean winter is not far behind.
