Thirteen days and counting. Who's counting? I'M counting, thank you very much. Thirteen days before my mother and I leave for Colorado. I cannot wait to get my hands on this sweet baby girl. She will be four months old before I get there. This is killing me.
My mom is excited, too. We are a bit nervous for her, though. She has her gall bladder removed this Thursday and we are hoping she will be feeling good enough to travel. Her surgeon assures her it will be no problem. I am secretly worried. The woman is 70 years old. A very young 70 (or is that the second childhood we've all heard about?) Anyway, her primary care provider says she's healthy as a horse, ( there's another joke in there, but I will leave it alone. Afterall, I have to travel with her!!) but you just never know with surgeries. It would devastate her if she couldn't go. This is her EIGHTH great grand child.

I will be knitting most of the time I am out there. I heard through the grapevine (Mommie) baby Ava wants a new sweater. We all know if baby sister gets something, big sister needs, wants and deserves something, too!

OTN: first pair of two at once toe up socks in Sokkatta color 03, Lacey Acorn Scarf made into a wrap in Lorna Laces Cool colorway and a scarf with morino wool in blue plus the occasional dishcloth.

(Pictures soon, I promise!)

Until next time.....
